How can I copy plan views from one model into another for the same building? I have tried "transfer project standards", "insert from file", and opening the model in the same session to copy and paste. The only views that copy with any of these options are drafting views.
Your suggestion to use linked view is great when the model I'm in already has the view and I link in a model with the settings I want, but that's not the case here.
1) I have 20+ plan views (multi-story with existing, demo, and new). My interior consultant went rogue and did not use my model as the base file. Now that they've sent it back to me, all the views I worked so hard on in the interim are gone. How do I transfer the plan views over to the model they returned to me?
2) Is there a way to change my plan views to drafting views so i can bring them in?

Revit's plan views are really model views. Dimensions are to model elements, tags are to model elements...etc... so there is no way to transfer.
The best answer is to tell the consultant to do it over, correctly.
Without knowing who really is doing what, I would use my own model for my work and link the consultant's model in for sheets that contain his work.
