Personally, I prefer to work on one 9:21 ratio high resolution monitor for Revit only. However, it would be very rare to work on Revit only, which I need other programs as well while I am working. I had a very bad experience to work on two monitors with different sizes and resolutions; less than an hour moving and adjusting my eyes between them, my eyes were hurting so bad and had to switch back to two identical monitors.

Just my two cents.

I'm a fan of dual monitors.  i find its more affordable.

Plus, i couldnt afford what i have in a single monitor.  I run (2) Dell P2715Q.  Each monitor is 4k.

Lots of space.

Important to note as CDWavid mentioned - matching monitors / sizes.  If the color is off or different on one, it can cause eye strain.  If the size isnt the same (or really close) there can be issue smoving your mouse across screen.

We tried running a 4K and a 1080p monitor on the side - it failed BADLY.   we ordered new side monitors within days.

Frankly, i've not seen such a quality work based monitor so affordable.

Why only two?

I have 4 27" Asus monitors.
