In a previous project I was able to use "filter by sheet" and it would make the keynotes start from 1, 2, 3 and so forth on each sheet no matter what the keynote was. In a new project I have the "filter by sheet" checked, but its still asigning each keynote a specific number. I tried searching for the answer and people are saying its not possible to have it do what I want.. which isnt true, because I've done it lol.. I thought all I did was select the "filter by sheet" though... what am i missing? I attached two images, the first one is of my previous project, showing 2 different legends each having their own set of numbers starting at 1, 2, 3 and so on... the second photo is my current project where each keynote is being assigned a number, so my "second floor notes" legend is starting at 8. likewise, my "first floor notes" legend skips 8..
I'm also wondering if you know if I can change the default graphics settings to the keynote legend? everytime I make a new legend for a different sheet I have to change a bunch of graphics in it to look right.. just time consuming.
Thanks

Take a look at how the working model works and compare it to the non-working model. There may be additional project parameters setup that are missing. As for the legends query. Can you duplicate thw working legends and then delete the content and then add in what you need?

Before we waste too much time, you need to include what Revit issue and what updates are installed. IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Thank you for your replies! I'm on Revit Architecture 2018.2 and the previous project was started in Revit Architecture 2016, but I upgraded part way through... I'm pretty positive I set up the keynotes prior to the update. Also, I am the only person that has worked on either of these projects.
I believe starting keynotes at 1 on each sheet is a pretty usual practice.... Is checking "filter by sheet" what people usually do to acheive this? I thought that was the whole point of filter by sheet.
As far as project parameters, both projects were started with the same template which is our default company template that we start all of our Revit projects in.
Duplicating the legend is a great idea to start with the same graphics, I should have thought of that lol.. thank you!

Okay, I feel really stupid. I only had "filter by sheet" checked in the filter properties of the individual schedules... I failed to check "by sheet" in the actual keynote settings. SORRY FOR WASTING YOUR TIME!! Thanks again for your responses.
