In my office, we don't use the built-in Keynote tool in Revit. Instead, we use a generic annotation family that is tied to a Note Block Schedule. (If you refer to this article, we are using what he calls the "poor man's keynote" approach: http://revitoped.blogspot.com/2015/08/keynotes-you-keep-using-that-word.html)
Anyway, it works well for what we need with one exception. I haven't figured out a way to filter the key notes by those visible on a sheet. For example, we use the same "Plan Key Notes" note block for all plans in a given set, but not all key notes will appear on each plan. I can't find a way to add a filter so only those placed in any view on a sheet show up in that sheet's note block.
Is there a parameter that could be added to the generic key note to allow this to be filtered? I know the built-in keynote feature has something like this, but our office just doesn't use that so we can't take advantage. Just hoping to filter intelligently using this other method. I've attached a screenshot showing the available fields for filtering currently setup in our generic annotation family.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I believe this is a function of the tag itself. I'm attaching a video here for your use (it's for 2017, but I believe it's the same process).

Let me know if this doesn't work for you and good luck!

Thank you for the reply. I think this is promising, but I can't figure out how to add that sheet parameter to a keyed note family. It looks like it was created under the Identity Data heading, but I'm not sure how to create it so the keyed note knows to pull the sheet info.
Any advice?
Thank you!
