revit 2017  

I have a column grid populated with 2' diameter GENERIC CONCRETE COLUMNS.  They are ALL The same type and for some reason, a number of them are picking up materiality that I DID NOT give them nor can I take it away to make them show correctly.  Anyone got an answer for this.

I did not "give" them a material or color.

I have tried deleting them and repasting them in place.

Read about architectural columns vs structural.  Architectural columns will assume the material of any wall they intersect.
