I have again what i think should be two fairly simple issues to solve. First, I do not want the door extrusion to show in plan view (I put invisible symbolic lines over the extrusion in the family editor, but i suppose that does not work?! because the lines are still visible) (see two related images below) and Second: The symbolic line for the door swing shows fine, but it is not on the subcategory it is supposed to be on, Plan swing [projection) (That is not an option in my subcategories), so how do i make a new subcategory? ANY ADVISE GREATLY APPRECIATED yet again !!!

In the family editor, select the door extrusion and go to your ribbon. There is a Visibility Settings Tool there. Click it and turn on / off how you want that 3D object to appear.

To add new lines,  go to manage object styles, find the relevant tab and add them in accordingly.
