I have been banging my head against the wall morning on this one, I am hoping the Revit gurus can advise!? I made a reception desk casework (did a save-as of a casework family) and the 3d view of the family, and side elevation views look fine, but in the actual model, it has extra lines, and does not look the same! I don't know if this is an issue with symbolic lines, I attached the two images. the elevation from the family (1'4" wide) is what i want it to look like. i drew pink x's on the extraneous lines that show up when i take an elevation of it from the floor plan! Any advice, please i am going NUTS here !!!!

My first question does not address your question: If that rear area is not supposed to be there, then what does your monitor sit on?
OK.... This is probably how you built your family. Look at the following:
- For 2d views like plans and elevations, did you turn off model elements and use symbollic linework? Your post suggests you tried to do this. If you tried to do that, then make sure you did.
- Show us the 3D view in the model.

This is the 3d view of the model, and ofcourse the glazing i added does not look right in plan view either! Also the family editor shows 5'6" wide (which is what i want) and the model plan view shows 4'! OMG, Thank you so much in advance, i was just about to lose it here ! You are a lifesaver !!!
