Hi, we created an empty window family for wall reservations. i want to see my reservation's lines even the plan plan cut from below it. I locked model lines to reference plane but it appears in family's default referance plane and moves with the family in the project, does not stay in actual reference plane (floor levels) in project. Any idea how to do it?

'Reservation line' is a term that probably 90% of us have never heard so furthur explanation would be helpful.
If I understand what it is, I probably would use a window family that has no opening cut, no 3D model elements and has model lines to show what you want. Those would show in the views you want (I think).

Hi WWHub, thanks for the reply. Basically i want to show wall reservations for MEPs on the plan. But since view range's cut place is set below reservations on the plan view, model lines does not show up in the plan. Window with no opening cut is not an option because we check clashes between MEP models and structure with Autodesk Naviswork's clash test with max 1cm tolerance. So opening cut is a must.
In fact, i don't know if it makes any difference with or without opening cuts but i already tried your solution. Problem is, model lines stay in the family's default reference plane when i load the family to my project. For example, family's default sill height is 50cm, but my wall reservation is 250 cm in my project. When i load the family with model lines to my project, model lines still appears in 50cm below the family. Since there are lots of wall reservations, changing the default sill height is not an option.

OK, then you can use a non-cuttable family with a vertical invisible line that would be basically from floor to ceiling (maybe a little less). Because the family is non cuttable, any view intersection of any part of the family will cause it to show and of couurse, the invisible line will not.

Great solution! And actually worked. But now, since the level heights are different, some reservations incorrectly shown, like the same reservation in 6th and 7th floor plan. I tried to lock invisible lines to reference plane in family but they are still not changes with family's floor level. How can revit adjust the windows' height according to reference plane but not locked lines?

A couple of thoughts.
- Making the invisible line as short as possible. I doubt that it has to go all the way from floor to ceiling to work.
- Setting instance based parameters in the family to control the invisible line.
