i have a two story building w/ interior stairs.
i have added the ADA handrail extension.
on the second floor, i have an exterior pedestrian balcony w/ rails.
the rail has the ADA extensions, so i removed.
now the ADA rail extensions are deleted from the interior stairs, so i added them back in.
they are back in the pedestrian balcony railing.
can anyone help please?
thanks!

There is a single stair "type" for each type of stair. You are using the same stair type for both stairs. As soon as you change the setup of the type it affects all stairs that use that type. Since you want two stairs that are not the same. You need to create two types. One for the internal stair and one for the external stair. So select the stair and in properties use duplicate to create a new type. You will now have two types in your project. Apply one type to the internal and the other type to the external stair and then you can change each independently without the change affecting the other.
