Greetings.

I have the task of monitoring placement of light fixtures in a project model (Revit 2016).  I can schedule the Level but I am unable to find a way to manage/schedule the 'Elevation' of the lights.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

thanks, in advanceIan

In order for anything to schedule, it must be set as a shared parameter.  So put on your thinking cap.....

If that elevation is not shared, what can you do?

How about a new shared parameter called ... maybe scheduleheight, add that to the family and set scheduleheight=elevation in the family.

Nice idea W.  I appreciate the suggestion.  I've created a shared parameter called AFF to do this.  However the only parameter I can 'connect' it to is Default Elevation (see image).

Forgive my simplistic questions ...

The family is directly from the Mfgr.  How can I pick up the instance parameter info 'Elevation'.  Must I create an instance parameter in the light family, manage/report the mounting height?  Not sure how, as this is a surface hosted family, not floor or reference plane based.

I've attached the family for your reference.
