Hey everyone,

Has anyone come across black lines in their Revit 2017 window when switching between windows (Ctrl + Tab)? Have a look at the screenshot I've attached.

I'm the only computer in our office getting these lines, and they are becoming more frequent. They disappear when you move the mouse or click on the screen but we would still like to understand why they appear in the first place. Our IT guys have advised us it's not to do with our graphics card but it is apparently a Revit issue embedded in the program.

I have a feeling it is to do with the graphics card (which was installed by their recommendation & is apparently not a certified Revit graphics card) but would like to know if anyone else has come across this as well.

Any thoughts or feedback is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

A few things I would check:Revit nowadays is ver dependent on the graphics card but a fast processor is important too. (i7+)1) Is your Graphics card approved by Autodesk?2) Is your Graphics card powerful enough for the size of your project model?3) Are your graphic drivers up to date.4) Have you tried the Hardware Acceleration option under the Revit - Options - Graphics ?5) Do you have the latest update of Revit. I think its Revit 2017.2.1 now.6) Is there anything different hardware - wise between your computer and the others that are not experiencing this problem?7) Do you have enough RAM? I would have as much as possible 32 as a minimum.Shadey Auditing/purging/generally cleaning out your model to remove redundancies and errors.9) Cleaning out your local files.10) emptying your temp files. - windows - run - %temp% delete all.
