Revit Structure 2017:

We discovered that one of our keynote tags placed on a plan view did not have the correspnding item populate in the keynote legend.  When I reviewed the issue upon selecting the tag, I saw a small  icon above the tag.  I just didn't know what that indicated.  without making any changes, we are able to place another tag with the same keynote item and have it populate the legend.  But I would like to know why this particular tag's item did not populate the legend.  The answer lies in that small icon's meaning above the tag.

Any answers form me?

Thanks in advance.

Oops,  I figured as much but before I decided to investigate we deleted the symbol.  I was obssessing so I went to the back up and found the old symbol.  Upon selecting it I saw attached image:

I believe that indicates the tag is 'orphaned'.

On the ribbon, click (Pick New Host).
