Revit 2016, Strange thing happened has anyone seen this? I selected a door family in my project and clicked edit family. When Revit opens the family it opens it with part of the name cropped off. This is causing issues because Revit thinks its a new family and wont overridet the old family. Ive only seen it happen with door families. Please Help!

I don't believe what you are saying is happening.  The image on the left appears to be a type name.

Interestingly enough I think I resolved it, I removed the / from the name at it works, Very strange glitch. There should be a rule set not to allow / in family names

Pretty sure it's the slash in the family name.  Not a good practice to use / or periods in file names.  Can confuse the computer or software.
