Hi all, I need to know...how much does it cost, or what is the "going rate" for a render these days? I mean, for a good interior rendering, say for an upscale retail store, how much should one charge the client? Please let me know.... need to give these guys a quote ASAP.... thanks!

A high end firm specializing in visualization would start at 5k per image. That would include lighting, texturing, and modeling. By high end I mean not only high quality images, but also high resolution that could print poster size; see this firms work - http://www.agitodesign.com/agitov1.0/
My firm is an architectural firm, and as an add on to architectural design services, we might charge 2 or 3k per image.

most of the rendering that we have done in our office run in the $300 to $500 dollar range and they also supply us with a high-res digital copy.

take your hourly rate x number of hours you think it will take = price.
