Whats the procedure / technique used when working in large groups (more than 20 users / architects, engineers, etc) to prevent accidental modification and deletion of objects created by others.
Is there any possibility to assign permissions to users and groups like other databases that deny modify / delete objects?

This is very hard to do and typically, nobody does it. You can place objects in worksets that are checked out by a user but this process is very cumberson and limiting. The best process is to really teach your users how to work properly. Don't tolerate sloppy work. You can help this process by having training where you deal with issues and consequences. We tried to do lunch and lerans at least once a month, more often at our beginning.
