Hi!
I have been tring to model decent mansard roof for some time, and as the roof shape is difficult, i found solution of using flat roof, then reshaping it with points and split lines. I got to where i wanted, ignoring the fact (error) that my roof thickness is different because of that shape.
But when now when i try to place face based roof windows, i get some kind of window missplacement, shown in picture.
Is there a better way of modeling roofs like that, so that the thickness stays constant? (i tried modeling bottom part of the roof as roof with level cutoff but with angles of that steep 72+ shape went crazy, bottom part and cuttof level were too off the level)

Assuming a roof with slopes on four sides, no gable walls.
I'd use either a mass or this.
