On a foundation plan, I have multiple wall segments that I want to show as hidden lines because the walls are below the slab. Many of these walls are short in length, to wrap around the back of a pilaster. I can get Revit to show these walls as hidden, but because the walls are many segments, the line patterns "restarts" at each new wall. Is there any way to make Revit "join" these lines, allowing the pattern to continue across the different walls. I understand what revit is doing, it just doesn't work well when the segments of wall are short enough that the pattern doesn't look "normal". If there isn't a good workaround, my superiors are willing to settle with the results we are getting, but I would still like to accomplish the desired look.

You should post a screenshot of the situation at hand. Use the join tool in the 'Modify' tab and join the walls together. From my understanding of your problem this should work.

I attached an image of the situation. These are walls that I have a hidden line pattern applied to. The walls are joined already, but is there a way to make the line pattern act more like an autocad polyline. Currently, everywhere the wall turns, the pattern "restarts". I would like the pattern to start at a set point, and continue around the corners until the end point.

Revit makes sure there is always a line at the end of lines like dashed. So if a space would be there, Revit makes it a solid. The only thing that will help in this situation is to use a linetype that has smaller line/space definition.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
WWHub, I completely understand what Revit is doing and why they made the choice to do this. Most of the time it is for the better, but on these short segments we would like it to be the other way. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious to make it perform the way we would like. Changing to a "half size" line type of the same pattern does make it a little better, but still not ideal. Oh well, like I said we are ok with what Revit is giving us, it just isn't the best for our needs.
