I created a filled region on a floor level. It appears also on my floor plan sheet. I want to show a perspective view of the floor layout. When i see the 3D or perspective view, I can no longer see my filled region. From what I can see, there is no visibilty or view range type settings for this. This filled region is to designate a fork lift aisle in a production facility. see attached screen shot.
HOW DO I GET A FILLED REGION TO SHOW IN A 3D VIEW?
OR
Is there another way to show something like this...a family or component?
Thanks for the help

Hi,
Filled Regions are like drafting lines. You can only see them in the view you drew them in. You'll need to Create a Component. This way you'll be able to see it in all your views.

Thanks Laura,
That is what I was beginning to think. Was hoping i could get around it with some type of visiblity option, but i guess not. I will create a component. Thanks for the response

Another option would be to use the floor as your fork truck layout. Just create a floor 1/2" thick (this could be the thickness of the tile material, or whatever you're using on the floor surface) and draw it where the layout needs to be, or draw the entire floor and use two different surface patterns, 1 for the layout and 1 for everywhere else

Help please! I understand filled regions are like drafting lines and can't be seen in every view. How do you create the filled region component? I created a new family using the detail component template and made my filled region in there. But when I loaded it into the project it still only displayed in elevation, and not perspective.

oR WHEN YOU DO A FILLED REGION USE MODEL LINES INSTEAD THEY WILL SHOW EVERYWHERE AND ARE NOT VIEW SPECIFIC. JUST GO TO CHANGE THE PATTERN AND ON THE BOTTOM SELECT MODEL LINE!

@cryanbrandon Do you mean when you change the pattern at the bottom it says Pattern Type and you can choose radio button of drafting or model? I do have model chosen there and it still does not show in perspective.

Finally figured it out! I realized quillers advice would work for me. Apply it in materials as a surface pattern rather than fiddling with the fill regions. Simple solution!
