Sections "Hide at Scales Courser Than" will delult to match the scale of the plan that the section is cut in, but elevations always defults to 1:400.  Is there a way to change that defult?

You can create a view template and apply it to all new views that will be created in the future. Works the same way for plans, elevations, structural plans, etc.

View Templates do not have a setting for "Hide at Sclaes courser Than" (at least none I can think of) so what are you proposing to do in the View Template?

...to set a desired scale, other than 1:400. Isn't that what're asking for?

True, you can set a scale in a view template, but that is not what I am looking to do.  I want to control the "Hide at Scales Courser Than" parameter for an elevation mark not set the scale for an elevation view. My fault for not being clear.
