did a quick google search but all seem to go dead without no anwer, and I wan't to say I have managed this years ago but can't recall.
Can I export a 3D view of a revit model to true north to .dwg format? all attempts seem to come in project north.
thanks

I am going to a 3D view, I look for the option in the properties for the view to change to true north but don't see it, so I export as is and it come in to dwg as project north.
I want to say I remember an option to change project north and true north in 3D view but so long ago I don't recall.

I don't really understand what you want. A 3D view (camera) is oriented however you want it. As such, there is no 'north'.
If you want your 3d view to look north from the camera point, then create the view from a true north plan and point your camera straight up. Or create from a project north and angle your camera as needed to point north.
