Greetings!
Is there a way to coordinate a room finish schedule with a list of finishes?
Each room in my room finish schedule has 16 finish values (floor, base, NSWE walls, etc...) and they are all text parameters. When I assign a value to the floor finish for example, I have to manually type it (or use the pull-down and select a previously used value). What I would LIKE to do, is create a legend of finishes with a prod. code, manuf, prod.#, color, etc... and select the product code from that list. So, when I select the drop down for floor finish in the schedule, it only gives me a list of what's in the finish legend.
What this will let me do is make sure that the material is defined in the legend before it can be assigned to a room, and ensure that people are using the correct code (like PT-1 instead of PAINT-1).
I already have a "Room Style" key schedule that will assign all the finishes to particular room, but I have 75 different room types so that's not practical.
I hope this is clear and I hope someone has a solution.
