Hi
I am refurbishing an existing victorian property and modelled the existing structure of the building on existing phase. The existing wall thickness is 500mm and I wants to include 100mm insulation into next phase of refurbishment.
Normally, We just demolish the existing wall into new phase (if required) but I dont need to demolish the wall, I am retaining the wall in new phase but I need to upgrade to 600mm...
Is demolish is the only option and make new from scratch in new phase??

Create a thin wall of your new materials in the new phase and place that against the existing wall then join the two.
