Hi guys!
I'm a absolutly new-comer in Revit. I try to create a family, which I can place in a concrete slab. For instance it is a ball-shaped element made of glass. Is it possible to replace the concrete at the position where my family element is? So that the family element works as a removal elemt and the volume of the concrete slab reduces by the volume of the ball-element?
thank you for your help in advance!

First item to address is family template. What did you use? As you describe this, the template should either be floor based or face based.
Because this is an unusual family, you will have to create both the solid and a seperate void form to cut the host. This is not an easy process for beginners so read the HELP and visit some youtube posts on this subject.

hi WWWHub,
thank you very much for your fast response. Okay, I think I will first of all try to create a floor based family.
Will let you know if I finished this and will come back after some Youtube tutorials.
