can you move the cut plane for the sketch... see pix attached

The cutplane is always in the middle of your first sketch line.  Sometimes, I have even used multiple line segments on one edge when I wanted this in a very unique location.

Yes, I've noticed that, thanks for the response WWHub.    Just have to be careful to draw the path starting where you've already got the sections and leave it at that.

Your tip about multiple line segments is helpful to get the section to fall in the part of the line that is appropriate.

BTW - If you delete the first sketch line, the second one is now first and the cutplane moves.   Then you can add the deleted line back in.
