I’m using Building Pads as a representation for my driveway surface. To do this I have defined various layers of materials in the structure of the type of the pad to represent everything from the substrate to the finished surface, just as you would a wall.
The idea is, that by doing this, I’m able to define in one step both the volumes for site work and the individual volumes and areas for the material in the pavement.
I am well aware of how to make a material takeoff for walls and floors etc. However, I am incapable of finding a template for a schedule for the material takeoff specific for building pads.
Does this template exist, or is this an oversite by Autodesk by not including this? Is there a way to work around this problem? Or am I just missing something?
Thanks in advance.

Building Pads can be scheduled - they are a subcategory of site (see attached image). If you are doing a material take-off, it would be for the Site category as well.

I imagined the same, however the category or subcategory of pads doesent exist in material takeoff, hence my question if this an oversite by Autodesk by not including this and if there is a way to work around this problem?

I'm not sure why the subcategory isn't an option, it could be an oversight! Maybe someone else on here might know.
But you can work around this issue - I would create Material Take-Off Schedule for Site, and filter the schedule with criteria pertaining only to the pads, so only their materials will appear in the schedule.
