I would like to create a family of "reinforced" concrete member (column for example).
The purpose is to create a mini-library of cocrete columns reinforced with the minimum reinforcement.
The problem is that i can con insert a family (BAR) when I'm editing COLUMNs family for example.
Is there a possible way to create the family i want? The alternative (i think) is to create single column revit models and call/insert it in my project every time i need it.

Any family can have another family imported into it. When this occurs they become a parent family and a child family. In the child family create your reinforcement and any associated parameters you need such a diameter, length, material etc. Save that family and then create your parent family ( the column), with all of its associated parameters and save it. Then open your child family and upload it into your parent family. Reference lines in the child family and parent family will need to be aligned/locked. Copy the child family elsewhere in the parent family if you need it and lock those down too. In each child family, select it and edit its type. In the properties window will be all the parameters for the child family, click the little grey box to its left and link it to parameters within the parent family.
