I understand the benefit of organizing elements and all with worksets.  Other disciplines such as Architectural and MEP benefit from controlling visibility of certain functional elements with worksets.  Like putting tenant unit elements on its own workset so that they may be turned off and not have to be generated with each new view.

Do structural projects ever have elements in their model that need to be controlled or turned off in certain views?  That's probably not the worksets advantage in structural projects.  Worksets in structural projects can be created for user-owned editable elements.  So that one user maintains control of editing its items.  Also, so that when our structural project is linked into an architectural project file, it can provide control of how structural elements appear and whether they are visible in the host project.

That being said, I like to hear of any structural project workset organization schemes that work well for you all, (and maybe the reasoning/benefit)

This all stems from many conversations with other parties that suggest we should use more worksets in our structural projects to improve performance and to help eliminate errors.  Worksets is just one area of consideration, others included cleaning out unreferenced views, addressing warnings and frequent auditing.

I appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Worksets are a whole lot more than controlling visibility, that is just a minor consideration.
