"settings > temporary dimensions >faces" still measures walls on centerlines even with location line set to Finish Face: Exterior.. how do i get temporary dimensions to measure walls on "FACES" from end to end? thank you thank you

As temp dimensions lock into the interior faces of an exterior wall, I usually pick on the blue grips of the temporary dimensions so they click to the outside face. You may have to pick one or two times as the grip may cycle to the center of the wall and the second pick will cycle to the exterior face. This works for walls and openings, so the grip will cycle through to an opening's 2 jambs and center. Like permanent dimensions, you can pick (hold down) on a temp dims blue grip and drag it to a new face and let go. This is especially helpful if I need to fine tune a temp dimension string that is not located exactly on the objects I need to set my dimension from.

thanks for responding job.. re-adusting the witness lines to faces is exactly what i was hoping to avoid.. "settings > temporary dimensions > faces" surley must have something to do with this but changing it there just doesn't do it.. that leads me to believe "temporay demension properties" must be good for something- but what? thanks
