Sometimes, I realize the view I'm looking at needs to be deleted. Is there a quick way to delete the view that is currently active without having to search for the name of the current view in the project browser?

The view you are in will be highlighted.
If you are having troubles finding views, then you have not established a good sorting of your browser.

It's sorted alright, but often times the category in which it is located is collapsed where you cannot see it. Not to mention we are dealing with complex projects approaching half a million square feet.

You can find the view you are looking for in the project browser fairly easily by right clicking in the project browser at the very top on 'Views(Discipline)' and doing a search for your view name. You can search by exact name of by keyword and click next until you get the the right one. This searches through collapsed subcategories.

Size of the project makes it even more important to think about your sub-folders. You can have as many folders as you need to manage your project and yoy can set your view templates up to put your views in the correct sub-folders. I personally don't see any reason to have more than 15-20 views in any sub folder. And we keep sheeted views in seperate folders from working views. For important areas, we have a unique folder for each area.
