Okay, I am a newbie...in the Project Properties window, after I have loaded a number or components I find I have numerous extaneous ones or unused components. This makes for a long list to scroll through when searching for a component I want to use. How do I delete the ones in the Properties Component dropdowns?
Thank you

Users often pay attention to what families get loaded when they copy from project to project. I always want to be in control so when given the chance, I tell Revit to use what's in the project but yet I still see thingy1, thingy2, thingy3.... where identical families are loaded as a new family and they take up space.
The problem is, these families are in use so you don't want to just delete them. Instead, start from the second one down in the family browser - thingy2 - and right click, then select all instances in the model, then in the properties dropdown, you can swap these to thingy1 and then delete thingy2. Continue until you get it cleaned up and THEN YELL AT YOUR CO_WORKERS to pay attention! BTW - In all honesty, I end up with some duplicates too so don't yell too loud.
