Hi guys, been trying to fix this but i have spent far to long trying with no success. i am redrawing the handdrawn plans onto revit and am having trouble with this porch. the porch itself will be 200mm higher then the rest of the roof. i have tried drawing them in the same roof. the roof lines were close but not the same as the architect has done. it is also at the same level and i cant work out how to offset just the front section of the porch and leave the rest of the roof alone.i have also tried drawing it as a seperate roof and then tried to join the roofs together but havent had any luck. i think its a simple solution but i am stumped.attached is the handdrawn copy that i am trying to redo - including heights and roof lines. and also my revit attempts. any help would be great thanks

Take a look at the picture, it should be self-explanatory. What revit version are you using?

Yes, please upload your model and indicate exactly how you want it to look like. Where does the lower eave stop by the entry? Is it continuous?

sweet.
the dashed line on the drawn plans indicate the external face of the external wall, eave stops at the porch. seems to be that valley on the right hand side that isnt on centre and that wall with no eaves/cut back roof (as per arch. drawings) that is giving me trouble - as long as the roof lines look like the hand drawn ones and is correct in 3d i will be happy thankyou!!!!
i have tried uploading on this site but i guess it takes time to get onto the server. ive put it on my drop box so hopefully this works aswell - https://www.dropbox.com/s/v9u32gyxp2c58v0/roof.rvt?dl=0

Your roof is way too complicated to make it as one object. I used three - see pictures. In the circled area, use the same trick that you used in the front, over the entry.
As a side note, I don't like using overhang option. I use offset instead. Imho, it's more flexible that way in terms of editing. I've redone your roof w/o overhang.

It's all done in 2017. You won't be able open it in 2014.
I should have mentioned before, no offset from the roof base is applied to any eaves. Entry roof is just manually moved to its proper position.
