Hi everyone!

I've added an extrusion profile to a wall, to create a sort of boiserie (h: 2 meters). Actually, this profile "close" every opening of the room (windows and doors). From the extrusion profile dialog box I've checked "cuttable" but nothing changed...

How can I figure it out?

Thanks

(I suppose this is depending by the window and door family that I uploaded in my project...)

You must not have done what you said.  The below assumes only one wall - not mutltiple walls.

  1. If you added an extrusion to the wall definition, then that would have been cut automatically by windows or doors.
  2. If you added a wall sweep to the wall then that too would be cut at windows and doors.
  3. So instead, you must have added an in-place sweep.   That will not be cut, you will have to add a void to cut that or use seperate sweeps.

I made a 100% profile wall extrusion.

Instead, I uploaded a new window familly and it works... So... there should be a problem with the previous familiy...

In the picture attached, the "old" window is in the middle.

I guess I don't see the wall extrusion you were having problems with unless you mean the multi-colored area.   If you did an extrusion for this then I have a better solution for you.  Use a thin wall and join that wall to the other wall.   We do that all the time for wall veneers like tile and stone.

Check out this thread for my explanation of using this thin wall.

Yes, the "multi-colored area" is the stone cladding, that is the profile extrusion.

I will learn your method, many thanks!
