Hi Guys, I just downloaded Revit to see what it has in store for us. I heard much good things about it. I would like to invest some time learning about this software. And knowing the benefit if we decide to make the switch from Datacad. My first question arises 1. Will we be able to reference our "keynotes" on the fly? 2. What about Designing. Eg. Our Architect starts a campus design. While he is designing...Will I have to wait for him to get out of file. So I can start working on it (Constr. Docs) Little insigns will help us decide our goal Thanks guys

Welcome to Revit. Stick with and you'll see why we rave about it... and it's few weak spots =] I can't tell you much about the keynotes, mainly because I'm not too sure what you're talking about. For the project sharing I would highly recommend taking a look at the worksets tutorial in the help menu (under advanced features: sharing projects). Also take a look at some of the white papers that Autodesk has available on their site (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=3782406) specifically the one on Multi-user Collaboration. Hope this helps and best of luck in your implementation ventures! -Carl

Need help? I'm probably in my chat room!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
