You an make an DWF of the MODEL and tell the people who want the drawing to download an free DWF viewer from www.autodesk.com Or, you can make dwg of the DRAWING SHEETS. Then the reciever has to downlaod an free DWG viewer, also from www.autodesk.com Post edited on 2006-05-02 01:05:11

I think the pdf works great for as much as I've used it. They work good for most of my preliminary stuff. Does anyone know if they plot to scale if saved on a D size sheet at 100%. Seems like mine was off by about 9 inches in 44'. Perplexed?? I have one customer that I sent pdf files to. They plotted fine on 8-1/2 x 11 printer, but on a D size sheet the only thing that plotted was the title block (less any imported logos), and annotations items. Nothing by the way of object lines showed up. Anyone know what's going on here. Their tech guy said that they have an older plotter that doesn't handle postscript. Not being too familiar with this, could lack of postscript capability be the issue? and what is postscript??

You can also have the other party simply download Revit. Revit is a free download and will run in the "demo" mode forever to allow viewing and plotting of the Revit model. The only restriction is that if changes are made to the Revit model they cannot be saved or plotted. As a side note, you can also use the demo version of Revit to render and export the rendered image. Handy if you want to render on multiple PC's without buying additional licenses. Tom
