Any logic behind my gutters not automaitcally mitering in some cases and mitering in others. I'm pretty sure that my verticle offsets were the same and I've tried "adding" gutter and "starting new" gutter, haven't seen any difference in end result. they have to be aligned in elevation or section views. Use the align tool. Also you can stretch their ends by picking and the gutter, finding the endpoint and stretching it to make sure the gutters actually touch.

not sure if this would help, but karelcad in brisbane showed us a trick whereby you use a fascia sweep, whether it is a gutter profile, or a combination gutter/fascia. fascia sweeps for some reason tend to mitre better at corners. well they do for me anyway!
