this seems like a simple problem & i hope it is...
i have sections cut through my project, but i cant see them on the first floor plan!
* they are turned on in view properties - annotations
* they are visible on the second floor plan
* i can draw a new one and its visible
* the sections views are still there and viewable (Section 1, Section2)
why cant i get them to show on my first floor plan?

Is the section box stretched so that it covers shows the first floor? If the section does not cut through the ground floor it will not show up on the plan.

also try to drag your mouse over where they should be. you can hide certain annotation objects in specific views...you may have accidently hidden them. if they highlight, right-click on them, and click "show annotation in current view"
Arch00's suggestion is good too. that happened with me and my grid lines two weeks ago.

ive actually thought of both of those and neither apply...
my section views show both floors...
i cant mouse over them...kind of like the hidden level annotation in elevation views...

There are a couple of other possibilities:
1. Check the properties of the section line. There is a "hide at scale courser than" setting. If your fist floor plan view scale is 3/32" and the section line is set to hide at scales courser than 1/8" that is what will happen.
2. Check phasing
3. Check discipline. If your section is set to architectural and your view is set to structural or coordination your section won't show.

thanks tomdinmn!
that was it. the scale went from 1/4 to 3/16 during its evolution and i changed it back to 1/4 and there they were! i changed the properties to "hide at scale courser than" 3/16 and it looks great!
wont let that one get me again!
