Hi, I work mostly in residential architecture and some small commercial projects. Is it worth it for me to upgrade to Revit 9 from R8?

you should get on the subcription program and make it part of your cost to do business this is the future, whether it's Revit or some other BIM i'm choosing Revit HTH Post edited on 2006-04-26 12:09:57

It's worth the update just for the new "Rooms" feature. Should make calculating areas much less troublesome. I'd also highly recommend getting on the subscription program. You need to keep up-to-date since there's no "SaveAs <previous release>" in Revit so pretty soon, you'll find that allthe families etc, you want to download are in a newer release and won't work with your version. I never thought about subscriptions before. I have read somewhere its around $600/yr. Does that include every new release of Revit? So if I pay my dues every year, I get any new Revit release? Thanks alot for the info.
