first thing u want to do is: 1. select the floor Floor Pattern 2. click the properties button in the Option Bar 3. click the Edit/New button top right of Element Properties dialog 4. click Edit next to Structure under Construction you floor is probably the first finish item under function 5.click in cell under Material next to the Finish under Function 6.click the down-arrow that appears on the left side of the screen, your floor material should be selected on the right side you should see Suface Pattern w/ a down arrow netx to it 7. click the down-arrow look in the available patterns and see if there is a a east/west version, if not get the spacing from form the north/south pattern that you have 8. click New and create a pattern that has the spacing and angle that you need i am assuming that this is some sort simple line pattern since you are talking east/west and noth/south and it is already applied to the floor. you can also go to the Setting pull down menu and select Material and create your finish and then apply it HTH Post edited on 2006-04-26 06:56:00
