I have an elevation view of building with contours. The contour in section show an earth pattern that take up most of the bottom half of my building.
I tried going to properties and looking for a hide hatch pattern icon but to no avail.
Does anyone know how to hide of get rid of this earth pattern.

you can either go to your visibility/graphic properties and turn off topography.
or... create your pad and cut your topography, so it will show properly in your sections.
many tutorial on this around...

I appreciate you advise. However I did both items you suggested previously. The heart of the matter
is that in the actually elevation view, the contours are cut in section so in result there is whole earth pattern beneath that I have tried to remove or hide. I have gone in to properties and tried to hide or remove that pattern but couldn't. removing Topography in the properties menu gets rid of my contours which is not what I want to do..
Thanks for the reply if you find any other Ideas let me know. I appreciate it.
