Hi,
I need to have a 3D sectioned perspective view. I mean that I want to trim my building (for viewing & rendering purposes), so that I can see what is inside.
If not possible, is there a procedure to simulat4e this procedure?
thanks in advance ;

Go to the view, view properties and tick scope box, then adjust the scope box to cut the section you wish to show...

hmm... I dunno for sure but I can't do what I need like that... I only have the scope box drop down selection box in sections, for example... I wanted to have that but in a 3D view (or camera view)..

You can in a non-perspective 3d view (isometric)... The only way i can think you could possibly do a cut away perspective view would be to duplicate the file and enable worksets then put all the elements you wish to hide in a workset and turn them off in that view...

I am new with Revit, however, I made a perspective with the camera command from the outside front of the building, then I use blind command to hide the front wall, door and windows. the result was similar to what you want. I hope this is what you wanted to do.

u can draw section first, then go to 3d model, click view menu , choose orient-to other view- select the section name which you want to show in 3d.

If the link doesn't work, try to search for "How To: Quick 3D Details!" in Revit forum at AUGI forum
