I am in the process of drawing an existing house in revit and I am at a loss as to how to draw these 140 year old existing winding stairs. I know the floor-to-floor hgt and the number of risers but all the treads are varying depths because they are pie shaped at the 90 degree bends. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?

here is a free tutorial on stairs from DGCAD that may be of help but i think you definitely what to use the boundary method for creating your treads. Right Click and Save Target As... http://www.dgcad.com/DOWNLOADS/REVIT_8_2b_STAIRS.wmv Post edited on 2006-04-17 16:25:03

How did you guess? When I worked there it must have been 50% U of M and 50% LTU.
