Hi everybody. I wonder if you had the same problem I am fighting with:
In a design with many custom shapes, modeled with masses, the floor plans turn out correct in the sheets and views in "hidden" mode but when I export to dwg, the lines underneath the masses re-appear. This does not happen by saving to dwf.
Is there a way to tell the softawre to ignore the lines which are hidden by masses?
thx

The best way we have found is to export from revit to a .dwg is to export is by creating a separate view only for exporting (will not be on any sheet) and view it in wire frame "WF” then export it to a .dwg. This way we could turn on all our phases, ie demo and new etc. and export one file. This resolved the issue of the families (blocks) walls from cutting thru other objects. I'm not sure if this is what you are referring too.
One other solution that might help is when you build your model (I am assuming you are referring to Families) we have redrawn the outline of the object in plan view and change the visibility so the 3d object does not show in the plan just the lines that we have drawn. This is a little extra work but it seems to resolve a lot of exporting issues to 2D.
