Im trying to build a roof that has a deck roof that hangs over 6' instead of just 18". My house is pretty simple box with a garge poking out the front. when i use the wall select tool and just pull the roof line out that i want to hang out father my roof fails. after playing with it i found that it wasnt moving the point the wall started out just dropping the over hang father past the wall. I then tried drawing a line instead of selecting the wall on that one side. i can get a wall to generatre but its funky. its almost like that line produces no over hang at all and it makes the roof look weird.
What is the simple way to make a roof that over hanger for a front deck?

To create roofs, you can use the overhang feature with a defined overhang and point to a wall as you have done or you can turn that off and just sketch the limits of your roof. Learn more from your HELP.
