Ive been unable to find a way to make and exterior wall that has corgated metal on bottom 4' and is stuco or anyother type of siding on the rest of the wall. the only way i could come up with was to make one wall for each and build a level that i stop the metal at 4'.

Is there a better way to do this?

In Revit, there are basic walls and stacked walls.

Stacked walls are basic walls stacked on top of each other.

In order to have a 4'-0" high corrugated metal in your stacked wall, you have to create a corrugated metal BASIC wall first.

Then select a stacked wall, duplicated it; make the bottom four feet as masonry wall and stucco wall above for example, then click the masonry wall on the section view, in properties change it to the metal wall.

A stacked wall is by far the easiest way to do this, especially for beginners.  But you an also split the wall layer in the vertcal section and assign different materials.  Read about that in your HELP HERE.

Thank you both.

So i used the stacked wall. However for some reason now i have to click on a wall then click "Activate Dims" to set them. Why is this and how do i make it so i dont have to do that any more?

Stacked walls are not like a simple wall because they are multiple simple walls.  What shows in plan and what you can dimension to is dependent on where the plan cut is and that is only that portion of trhe stacked wall.   Obviously, the wall can change thickness and makeup as the cut is moved up or down the wall.

This is also true for the associated wall tags which are only for the simple wall in the stack that is being cut.

So be careful here! You can dimension to the face of say the lowest wal in the stack and someone moves the cut plane up - whoa, where did my wall dimension go?

I typically breakup stacked walls after I know the makeup of the wall is not going to change.
