Hi!
For some reason my nested family (attached) is loading into my project with an origin far away from the centre point of the modelled elements - making zoom extents, rotate and tagging in particular a real nightmare!
I've checked the reference planes in the host familiy and all the nested families and there are all set to 'Defines Origin' but still no luck.
Any ideas on possible reason for the issue would be much appreciated
Many thanks
G

Do you still have the origin ref. planes checkboxed to be the origin?

Do you have CAD in this family? Get rid of it or modify it.

Yes, several of the families are simple imported DWGs - I will try removing the DWG elements, thanks

Well it wasn't any of the nested families that contained DWGs in the end - it was actually the taps from NBS National Bim Library (UK), https://www.nationalbimlibrary.com/. I copied all the extrusions from the taps familiy into a new familiy at that seems to solve the problem - many thanks for the help, no doubt will be back!
