Revit 2016 and 2017

Revit cannot make a template from a central file, but is there a way to add worksets to a template so when you activate collaboration more than just the three default worksets appear?  Is there a way to add more default worksets? Do I just have to manually add the additional office worksets each time we start a new project?

While its true that you can not have worksets in a template, you can do a simple workaround. 

1. Open a new project with your template
2. Enable worksets and add your worksets
3. Save the file with a name like Workset Template
4. Close the file

Now when you want to start with worksets, simply:

1. Open the workset template
2. Do a save as with your new file name and using the make this a central file option.

Now you are set.

Obviously this will not help with files that have content before wanting to enable worksets.
