I have a wall assembly that I want to join to a similar roof assembly and Revit is having a hard time doing this correctly. All the priority and core information match to each other but Revit is disobeying. Does anyone have a technique to get Revit to do this right? Thanks.

As far as I know, roof with wall will not join the same way as walls do. I would cut the edge of the roof with a void sweep at 45 deg angle and use attach tool to extend the wall to the roof.
…or, draw ref plane at 45 deg and attach the wall to it. Then, having the roof aligned with the outer edge of the wall, join them. You might need to switch the join order to get the proper result.

eeee. I don't like having to create a bunch of other modifying geometry. This will create too many issues when making revisions. I was hoping for a solution that utilizes the priority layering. I've done this successfully in the past with a wall sitting on a floor, but not one where the wall meets a roof. If you know of any other tricks let me know! Thanks!

Lol, it’s just one extra ref plane or a void, but if it’s not working for you, you can try another option (see picture). I couldn’t get it to work perfectly, but it’s close.
I don’t think unlocking the wall layers and playing with their extensions will do any good, but you can try it as well.

Actually, I found that unlocking the layers, and sketching the floor/roof to the appropriate layer in the wall is the best method so far. It maintains the most automatic functionality of the elements without custom void objects. Thanks for your input. In the end I think this is an issue that falls in Autodesk's court since there are not enough options supported for these types of join conditions. Really, these objects simply need to obey the priority layers and it would probably work fine. Oh well. It's not perfect. Cheers.
