I have a simple roof extrusion that is curved at 45 deg. and I need one end of the roof at say 10ft and the other at 20ft.

I posted some pics but will prolly take a while to appear.

You didn't post any pics here in your message where they would be useful.

Am I correct that this roof will be an arc in section?  As I said, without an image. your description is not clear.

This may help you: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2016/ENU/?guid=GUID-A434D87A-A441-4633-9839-BB755310D29F

Yes, it would be an arc in secction.

if you build for walls slap an arc/curved roof extrusion on it, how do I elevate one end of the roof? say 10ft above the other end.

I posted pics in a previous comment, but someone will have to look at them before allowing the post, incase of lude things i am sure..

If the work plane option does not do wehat you need, you can also model in place with a blend.
