I have corrupt data in a project and I'm trying to track it down by eliminating items that may be suspect. In the project browser I've come across a family type that is part of a system panel and in a 3D view with everything possible visible, I right click on the the type and I'm only allowed to choose all elements in the project. This is the first strange thing because everything in the project is visible in the view and I should be able to select all elements visible in view. My selection filter says that I have 5 objects nonetheless when I select all objects in project. I gather the element IDs and try one by one to show them, but I receive a "No good view can be found" message. There are no design options, no invisible worksets, no filters, no other hidden elements whatsoever. As far as I can tell, these elements do not exist yet they do. I can't audit the project because that leads to a data corruption problem that has intigated the whole efoort. Does this sound like a glitch or is there another way to delete or find these offending elements that anyone can think of? Thanks.

Have you tried to select the object by ID#, click OK (not Show) and use Temporary Isolate tool to find/display it?

If you are on subscription, Autodesk will fix your file, usually in a one day turn around.

pijpiwo, curtain panels cannot be isolated on their own even if they are selected via their element IDs. The host curtainwall must also be selected and in this case it cannot be determined.
We do have a subscription, so that sounds like the best way to do it. Thanks you guys. I appreciate it!

Sorry, forgot to mention, …select panel by ID, isolate by category first, and then (without deselecting) by element.

That's a good suggestion, however; the same issue applies: The items are not visible by any means even in "god view." Thanks.
