I´m using revit 2016. Windows are not appearing in the schedule correctly or not at all. There are tags on the windows in the floor plan

and the correct mark in the properties dialog. What´s up

You have not given us much to work on but here are some possibilities.

  • You created the windows in a phase different than your schedule.
  • You have a filter set in your schedule that excludes these windows.
  • These windows are not 'windows' but something else, possibly curtain walls.

The problem is something you have done.

The door schedule seems to work fine and was created the same as the window schedule, I think. The filters are set to

none. Could you expand on the meaning of phase. I´ve created other drawings in Revit without this problem so there must

be something I´m doing different!

Is the schedule set to show things in the 'EXISTING' phase and the windows were created in the 'NEW' phase. Phases allow for users to show different time periods of a building and when certain things happen (demolition, preconstruction, new construction and so forth. Check your help https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Revit-DocumentPresent/files/GUID-2E104AB8-68B9-46F2-9BE2-B54E767429E5-htm.html

Doors and windows are different so they were not created the same.

You did not address the possible CW issue.  Curtain wall 'windows' are not Revit windows, they are curtain walls and are scheduled differently than windows although you can make a CW schedule that reads just like a window schedule.

I'm curious to know what you mean by "Windows are not appearing in the schedule correctly." How exactly do they appear in the schedule?

These are not curtain walls but exterior structural. The phasing is existing. I drew a new wall on the plan with phasing

at existing and the window schedule at existing and the window did not appear in the schedule. It had a tag.

You don't seem to understand our answers.

  1. You say the walls are existing.   Are the windows also set to existing phase?
  2. What phase is your schedule set to?   It will only report that phase.

To clear this up, please post the following images:

  1. The plan showing the window and with the window picked, the properties of the window (Must show phase)
  2. The schedule with properties showing the phase

Here are the screen shots. The wall and the window are both new construction.

Did you know you should have a snipping tool that will allow you to just window and area of the screen to capture and image?   That works a lot better than the screen capture.

You did not show us the schedule and schedule properties - we need to see that.

Now I am lost.

You wrote "...Windows are not appearing in the schedule correctly or not at all....".   Your window in plan is #81 and that clearly shows in your schedule.

We are trying to help and I asked you to post some images of the window and I assumed you would post the window that doesn't work.   Posting the window that does work doesn't show us the problem.

Here is a picture of window 86 in the floor plan. Is this what you want? It is not in the window schedule.
